Hi Guys, I purchased a pitot tube speedometer to replace my old looking bayliner capri one. the one I got is FARIA 32909, My boat goes about 34MPH, and that is what my old speedo was reading when I confirmed with GPS. Now when I install the new one it is way below 0 and it takes off about 10MPH from my speed so when I go 30 it showes 20MPH is there a way to adjust those or do I just have a broken new speedo and need to return.
tx as always.

Some tachs have a fine adjustment screw in them, but I have never seen a speedo with it that can be adjusted. If I'm not mistaken, the Faria 32909 speedo numbers start at 10 MPH and go up from there. When sitting still, the needle should pass below that to sit at 0.

Check the hose all the way from the pitot tube up to the speedometer. It's really a simple device. Just air pressure.

Even if I disconnect on the other end and blow really hard into the tube it does not zero out can only move it little. Tube is ok nothing stuck in there. Pitot is brand new its working fine with the other Speedometer. I guess its defective and should be able to even exchange I bought it from Boatersland Marine in Ohio online. Only two weeks ago.

If the needle hangs straight down, the problem is in the speedo. It could simply be that it was jarred loose from its mount. Just return it.
