Can anyone tell me why my speedometer doesn't working correctly. It shows I'm doing 45mph, but I am going much faster when clocked with another boat.

Re: Speedometer

You might have dirt or seaweed in the line.Look to see if you can find a small tube connecting into the back of the speedometer. You will also see electric wires, but thats just so you can see at night(light).Take the tube and try to disconnect it from the gauge. Then try to blow thru the tube.It will not be easy but you should be able to move some air thru.If that doesn't work try using some kind of air pump.I use the same foot pump I use for the kids tube.Go easy! If you cant get thru that way you may want to check the other end.You will see it out at the lower back of the boat.(plastic )pito type thing with tube connected to it.Try to get any slime or seaweed off of it and check the hole as well.Hope I helped
