We have a couple Speich ClearView screens mounted in the forward windows. The brushes need to be replaced in both and a hub on one. Does anyone have experience maintaining these?

Parts are available from Cole Marine Disturbing in Ft. Lauderdale but the documentation they have is written in Italian.

Re: Speich ClearView Screens

I tried their website. Even exhausted a web searches for ANY technical info. Cole Marine faxed me some stuff written in Italian. 2nd/3rd generation faxes are useless. The line drawings lack info and are useless, too. I guess I will have to reverse engineer one.

I had never heard of them either, came with the boat, not something I would buy…$$$! They’re nice, spin so fast nothing (rain/fog/snow) can stick to the windscreen. If they didn’t work and weren’t so expensive, I would just replace the windshields and install traditional wipers.

Sometimes you're the windshield, sometimes you're the bug.
But with a Speich ClearView, you are never the bug ON the windshield...not even if you tried. :)

I have never been successful in posting an image to any of the forums here; otherwise I could toss out a picture of them on the boat for you see.
