Splash guard???

I have a deep V sylvan aluminium boat, that no matter what the size of waves I hit I usually get wet from the spray.In the summertime it isnt so bad, but during the colder winter months during hunting seasons I want to stay as dry as possible.....
I watched a boat similar to mine during duck hunting seasons...He took what appeared to be cut tires and then bolted them thru the hull....it appeared to work as the curve of the rubber tire would force the water down and out farther....WHile it probably did its job,I would like to use something a little less "redneckish" (is that a word?)or a little more pleasing to the eyes.....

Any ideas.

I love the boat just hate the bow design.

Heytown, You are talking about a "Reverse Chine" hull. They tend to ride dryer, except if the wind is real strong, and then no hull will save you from spray. I would think that any shaped object (round, triangle, rectangle) attached to the hull in the proper place would deflect the spray, since the spray simply shoots up along he hull.

There are molded dock bumpers of various shapes, but most have a bell-curve shape to them. If you glued a piece of that to the hull, it would look like a bumper (not bad at all), and might serve your purpose.

Those in the link would probably be perfect, except the cost.....115 just to ship to me.

Nothing against Iboats,but im looking for something that wont damage the pocketbook to bad.
