I was wondering you had a plug wire that got cut are you able to splice it back together? If so, how is the best way to go about it. My motor has the coils where the plug wires are sealed in the coil housing. I hate to replace a $40 coil for just a cut plug wire.

Thanks,
Jason

The problem being using an insulation that won't leak that high voltage.

Re: Splicing Plug Wires?????

there is some really thick heatshrink available, that has a hot melt glue coating inside it, that may handle the HT.

No promises. You may just need to experiment.

You could also try the silcone exaust tips for a nitro r/c car. splice the cable together, smear some blue RTV slicone sealant around the splice and then slide the exaust tip over the joint. it would probable work. some zip ties on each end of the sleave would help keep it in place.

here is a link for something like what i'm talking about

http://www.modelflight.com.au/accessories_tubing.htm

have a think, try something, and let us know.
