Engine Serial number 0E090224 on a 1994 Mirage Jet Boat
Son was starting engine and said he heard a zzzt sound, then the starter would not turn any more. There was power to the ignition switch but no lights would come on when I flipped the switches, the blower wouldn't work and the choke wouldn't engage when I pushed in the key. I disconnected the battery to take the starter off and check it out. There was a lot of crap in the starter, so I shook out what I could and put it back together. I reconnected the battery and now the panel lights and choke are working. The starter still will not turn, though. The starter side of the relay has power even with the not in the crank position. Have ordered a new relay switch. Anything else I should check out while I'm waiting on the part?
