I am writing on behalf of my brother. He has a 1995 Sea Ray with a 1995 90 HP sport jet. Having had some starting problems he found that the magnets on his flywheel were loose, so he replaced the flywheel. Then his trigger had some open circuits so he replaced that as well. Both parts were new from the local Mercury dealer. Now he has good spark but when cranking, the motor still won't start but occasionally comes up hard against the starter like the timing is WAAAAY off. Some of the reading that we have done mentions a Switch Box, but we aren't able to find one on his motor. He has CDM-style ignition, and the "red stator".

Has there been a technical bulletin that we missed or some radical change to make that we don't know about?
