My '93 sport jet has dropped a cylinder for short periods of time lately, then last night it dropped one for 5 minutes or so. I replaced the plugs, bottom one was real wet, still persists. So it must be ignition related. Then it quit all together. Any ideas?

thanks

Re: Sport Jet electrical problems

I have 90hp sportjet. I found the breather tube to the bottom carb was blocked and causing the #3 cylinder to flood. I bought 3 rebuild kits for about $28 a piece and a can of carborator cleaner. I replaced the needle valves and cleaned all the gas ports. It took about 30 minutes and lot of fishing with a wire to get the breather outlit cleared of the gunk that had built up in the #3 carb. Once that was opened, the float would shut off the gas normally, and the engine stopped flooding.
