Hi! Last year I bought a Doral Splash with 1995 Sportjet 120, red stator, rev lim. replaced, bulb pump between gaz tank and engine and new strarter. Used it 4 X 30min last year and it was running fine (43mph). In Sept. took it to the local dealer for winterization. (I live in Quebec, Canada and we have cruel winters). They replace the turbine oil, used fuel stabiliser and fogged the engine.
In June this year, first time in the water but it wont crank. The starter will kick in but the flywheel will make only 1/2 a turn. Put a fresh battery, same thing. Suspecting the starter, I sent it for rebuild but it was not rebuildable. (bent shaft). Put in a new starter, still wont crank.
Took it out of the water and removed the plugs. It cranks very well but water come out of bottom cilynder. Put back the plugs, disconnect the safety switch and it cranks (gave it only a few flywheel turn for safety after reading some notice on this forum).
Put it back in the water, it will crank for about 5 flywheel turns and then jam.
Any of you have a clue? I took it back to the dealer yesterday but I am kinda scared. The only interference between the working boat and the defective boat was the dealers winterization?
