Hi guys,

Yesterday I fired up my completely rebuilt Sportjet 120 XR 2. The manual says that I should use a Quicksilver premium plus TW-C3 oil or TW-C2 oil. Since I thought no one sells this type of oil in the Netherlands I bought Eurol TW-C3, this is a mineral oil.
But today I found a Quicksilver oil dealer in the Netherlands who told me that the recommended me to use the Quicksilver oil in favor of the Eurol oil. The Quicksilver oil is a semi-synthetic and the Eurol is a minaral....

Can I switch without problems to the Quicksilver oil, and is this type of oil realy better?

You should not have any issues in switching from mineral to semi-synthetic. Is the semi-synthetic better? There's a lot of opinions on that subject, synthetic or semi-synthetic compared to mineral based oils. I think as long as it is marine rated TW-C3, you should be fine.

Some oils will seperate if left alone for a while(months and months). You can mix them.
TCW-3 of any kind is ok.It's made to specs and must meet minimum requirements for ash.
I'd use the quicksilver if I had it.
