I can't get my SportJet 95XR in my 18' Tracker to exceed 13mph at 5300 rpm. Engine runs smooth, but feels like I'm dragging 200 lb. anchor. I've read it might be the drive impeller or wear plate. I am not mechanically inclined enough to fix either based upon diagrams I've seen. Are there other possibilities I can check before finding a dealer to take my $$$? I've placed a ton of caulk around the ride plate to see if its a gasket problem. Will test this week. Please help!!
