Thanks for all your advise. I only have one more question. If the boat still has good hole shot, can the hub still be spun? The Motor i had referd to earlier 70 hp johnson bogged down in the hole, stood noes of boat up and took off in about 8 seconds. could the hub be slipping at high rpm, or is it just not noticable at a low rpm? I was always told that if a hub was slipping the boat would rev high in the hole or under strane without speed gain is this a falls tail? also could blades be flatened causing prob, because i am having prop rebuilt if this could be prob. once again thanks for previous info.

Re: Spun hub

Mark the inner metal of the hub and the prop metal with an indelible marker, run the motor under load (in the water) at WOT. If the marks move relative to each other the prop hub is spun ... it's that simple. If it is, have the prop rehubbed (< $50). Otherwise, the hub is fine.

Just realized you had another post on same topic. Keep it all together in one post if you want help!
