Ok so the crank, engine, lower unit, all seem fine. But so does prop, that too seems ok. I haven't scored or marked the hub from the prop too see it it slips but, they can not be turned seperatly by hand. Is the slipping action of the prop, only replicated by high speed rpms of a moter, or should the prop slip off the hub while the engine is in gear and off. Cause the engaged engine prevent turning of lower unit. Ant advice would be nice. Classic simptom
of slipped prop. Put around in lake at low and at wot engine just revs high.

You need to run the motor under load to see if it's a spun hub, unless you're King Kong. Check that and I'll bet it's a spun hub. If so, take prop to a prop shop for rehubbing or buy a new prop.

How many horsepower is your motor? A 50 horsepower has the strength of 50 horses. I seriously doubt you have even the strength of one horse. In other words, you are not strong enough to turn even a sadly worn out prop by hand. Mark it and test it.

There are any number of threads in here, by the experts, that tell you how to check...they all involve marking the hub as a reference, which only makes sense.

Well said every one and yes I doubt I have the strength of even half a horse so point takin I will mark the two to see if it's slipping and it's a 40 horse. That should say enough
