I was out on the lake today, motor (125 force) was running fine all of a sudden the boat started to slow down and the rpm's started to go up. I throttled the motor down and tried it again with the same result. Limped it back to the dock.On the way back, the motor seemed to run O.K. at low speed. Back at the dock I checked out the motor, nothing seemed obviously wrong.I tried moving the prop to see if it meant have spun, but it seemed pretty tight. Could it be spun but still tight enough that I couldnt move it by hand?. Maybe only breaks loose under power?.
Thanks

Make a mark across the prop hub with a waterproof marker. Go try it. If the marks move then carry prop to a prop shop and have it re-hubbed.

Hello.
Did you take your prop off?
You may have picked up a a few yards of fishing line and that will do that sort of thing.
Good luck.

Re: Spun Prop ?

I had the same symptoms last summer and it turned out to be the hub which was spun. I could not move it by hand but the force of the water/motor would.

Hey 50horce_force,

Adding your own questions to a thread started by someone else ain't too smart.

You have posted your question under a separate topic and so it should be. Otherwise it becomes impossible to follow a thread and we don't know where to answer = you don't get any replies.

Stick to the topic you started.
