Ok folks, got my prop back from the shop.......... looking good, I travel in shallows quite a bit and go through at least a prop a yr, the other day I was WOT, and going good, then the rmp jumped, and the boat slowed, I went back and unwrapped the seaweed from the prop, worked good. Now this past week on a family vacation it did the same thing, but there wasnt any seaweed on the prop or any floating, now either the seaweed fell off, or did I spin the prop?.. I put it in reverse, then forward....... and it ran great, but will seaweed cause this problem or is the prop on its way out?

Put a mark on the prop and a corresponding mark on the hub, run the boat a while and then check the marks. If they're not aligned, the hub is slipping.

c/6

Hooty
