I noticed small leak coming out of the impeller enclosure so I opened it up inspected and put it back together. The leak stopped.

Now there is a loud sqeeking sound coming I believe from the belt or possibly something else in the front of engine.

- what could it be?
- any relation with the impeller work or pure coincidence?
- is it the serpentine belt? Anyway to test?
- if it's belt can I get an after market or does it have to be Volvo Penta?
- is it difficult to change the belt?

Thanks in advance.

Did you put it back together correctly . Maybe the pump is jammed and your hearing the belt protesting . :):)

I just opened the 4 housing bolts, visually inspected the impeller (didn't take it out), cleaned the gasket, put it back, put some marine lube on the shaft, and tighten the bolts as they seems to be loose previously.

The boat wasn't used for the last 4 years. Would tightening the bolts too much have cause the sound? The engine is definitely cooling a lot better now though.
