squeeking springs

It sounds like the leaf springs on the trailer are squeeking pretty good when I hit bumps. does that mean anything or is there something I can do to remedy?

Ayuh,.... That's what leaf springs do on bumps,...

Ya can grease 'em, or oil 'em if you'd like....

Unless yer dippin' in the Salt, there's no real benefit though...

I dip mine is salt every chance I get. My boat is a 99.9% salt water boat. I use liquid wrench on my springs. Can't ever get the rust to stop but they wont squeak as much.

delrin strips between the leafs helps allowing the leafs slide on each other.

:cool:Had the same problem when I first got my new to me rig. I used something called Clarks Spray Lube for open gears and applied it generously. That one treatment has lasted 3 years so far.
