Hello all...I jst wanted to post an update and let you all know of my plans for the minnow. I have removed all the unecessary rivets. Man that was fun! There were even a few rusty nails hammered through the hull.

I am in the process of sanding down all of the painted over rivets and seams in order to apply Gluvit to take care of any leaks.

I also applied marine fiberglass "bondo" to the holes and that seems to work ok. I have decided to paint the inside of the hull with liquid bedliner. I think that would make the inside a little more presentable. Because I removed the bow cover, I have decided to add a little bit of support by cutting up the bow cover into strips and using them as a form of support around the middle of the boat.

The bottom of these strips will be below the wood floor so I hope they hold well.

I am also going to add a beam across the back of the boat to hold fishing tackle and other miscellaneous equipment. I am planning to build a bow box/casting platform but am going to need some advice on how to begin that part of this mission. Any input would be appreciated. Have a great week.
