!st trip out with Intex Excursion 5

Hello all,
I went out yesterday with a friend of mine for the first time since building the wood deck. We went up river for about 2 miles then tied off and fished some. I was so happy I went to the time and effort to build the deck. I could stand up and cast out as needed, plus when I hooked my first fish I was standing up and brought him in the boat with no problem. I also built a battery box that doubles as a seat. Had plenty of room for all the fishing gear and food. Used a Minn Kota Turbo with 40# of thrust. Didn't have to use full speed at all. It trolled up and down the Willamette River great.
All in all had a great day.

Sounds fantastic. Glad you enjoyed the boat. I had the new version of the Intex Seahawk II and loved it. Since then I bought an Avon Redcrest and love that too. Congrats!

Yes you have my number. I'm going to put a front storage box/seat in as well. That should keep the clutter down on the deck.
