have a dirty and stained carpet near the back of the boat. been like that for years. every year when it is out of the water for the winter I try and remove the stain with store bought stain removers . the stain is still there.. can anyone help?
seems like regular boat carpet that I see a lot on older boats.. the stain seems like combination of greasy dirt and oil and regular dirt. can't seem to get it out.. the rest of the carpet looks good after I use a carpet cleaner out of a can. was thinking of using a small steam cleaner
if its grease and oil, then use a stiff brush and dawn dish soap. use a liberal amount and scrub it in....... then let sit for a day. wet it again and scrub some more then let sit for another day
it is not where the gas tank sits, it is near the back of the boat where it seems like someone stepped off the dock and into the boat at one time and had grease or oil on their shoes. thanks
When I worked at a car dealer. Simple green. Soak it good. scrub it in with a knuckle brush. Hold a towel behind it and hit it with a air chuck. I never seen anything this method wont get out.
