I dont know how much gas is in the SeaCrafts tanks ... but there has to be something, and this boat hasnt had gas in 16 years ... wish I could say the same, lol ... but I do know they hold 55 per and there has to be sludge and gunk and all sortsa shiot in there .. it does have a good gas filter, but I want to get those tanks as clean as possible

I am going to get her as underway as I can, have even figured out a way to make a framework out of pvc piping so the tarp will make a nice shield instead of collecting leaves and dirt and pooling water, if this boat is salavageable (and I hope it is, there is like nine grand sunk into this thing over the last 15 years of non use) its never going to be hit by weather again, unless I am caught out in it ... and in a way, I hope that I am, I would love to take this thing out into a SCA Del bay just to see how she does when its sloppy

the only thing that I am really worried about NOW is all the talk about rotted stringers, lifting the inner hull out of THIS monstrosity would be something along the lines of an amish barn raising project, many people straining their ballls off, lol, SeaFari has immensily deep sides due to a deep hull AND a heightened superstructure ... all fiberglas, heavy, solid stuff .. this thing is built like a bertram, dont want to think about recoring the big bastage
I nicknamed it the USS NeverSail, lol, but when she hits the water again, SeaMasterZ (sounds better than SeaMasterII) sails again :)

you should be able to find several companies in
NJ who can pump out your tanks, clean them and
then re-fill for you. the gas is sent back to a
refinery where they filter it and then re-sell.
good luck,
M.Y.

What year is your seacraft? I have just restored a 1969 and the only stringer that had any wood in it was the center. It was damp when I drilled a hole in it. It should be fine i left it open to the air for several months while i worked on the rest of it. Then I filled it with resin. The other 2 were hollow and they are the the ones that support the floor.

James

http//:members.fishingworks.com/outrigger/
