Stalling 2.5 merc alpha 1 gen 1 87 glastron

Hi new to site , I recently purchased a 1986 glastron cx-19 caddy it had the 2.5 merc 120 hp , I be had a month and been 1 problem after another , it’s been stalling , I changed so far ; water impeller, plugs , fuel filter ,emptied fuel tank (refilled w non ethanol) checked fuel lines , I got it to idle at least for a cpl min, when I give it throttle it gets up to higher rpms for a few secs and Boggs out , thinking maybe fuel pump( mechanical) carb? Looks like it was rebuilt

Ayuh,...... Welcome Aboard,....... Hook up a can of clean fresh gasoline right to the fuel pump, to narrow down the fuel system,......

Did ya change the fuel filter in the fuel pump,...... I think there's one in the carb, at the inlet too,.....
