stalling 225

hey guys,
i have a 1995 yamaha 225 that sputters when you start to throttle up from 1300rpms to about 1800rpms. if you slam the throttle from idle to full throttle the boat runs normal. just returned from the shop they cleaned carbs,fuel filters replaced, plugs replaced, still not right . any suggestions would be appreciated.

gotta have a model number, in 1995 the 225 was made in both a 2.6 and a 3.1L version. all the two shared was paint color and a 225 HP rating.
