Hello,

Here we go...I can shift F/N/R, but stall everytime I shift in reverse. Shift cable was replaced with new bellows so it's new. I bypassed the shift interupter switch and can shift F/N/R only when the engine is off. After bypassing, I can shift into (but not out of) F/R if the engine is running. Is it a cable adjusment or do I need a new switch? Previous to bellow replacement I was stalling going into reverse once in a while.

Your help is appreciated!

Thank you,

Out of curiosity, do these cables typically fall out of adjustment? I didn't have a problem in years past, and the stalling increased dramatically after changing the cable. Also, I read in a few other threads there might be a second cable somewhere?

No, they do not typically go out of adjustment. There is a cable from the helm also, but Idoubt that is your problem. Look at Ralph's link and go from there. A simple adjustment of the lower cable should be all you need....JK
