Stalling issue

I have a 1999 Sportcraft 211 walkaround with a Volvo Penta 4.3GL. I had the boat to a mechanic when first purchased and he did a complete tune up and once over, the boat ran like brand new the first time out...then, I made the rookie mistake of filling it with regular unleaded fuel.
It stalls every time on the water, only when on the water. It does not stall when running with muffs on at the home. I am considering draining all the fuel and replacing the fuel lines but wanted to see if there were any suggestions?

A one time fill with ethanol fuel would not cause your issue. Can you further explain when it's stalling? Just during idle or when trying to increase the RPMs?

Thanks for your reply...the stalling normally happens while the boat is moving. It usually happens while I am in a constant speed for a bit of time. I am not a mechanic by no means, but can fix minor things. I thought this may have been a gas issue.

Last year we were out and my brother in law said is sounded like it may be getting choked out so I took the fuel cap off and it ran well the rest of the day. I then tried unclogging the vent on the side of the boat by the gas tank but it again started to stall while out the next time.

Sounds like the vent line may be the problem. Need to confirm it is not obstructed.

Thanks again, I really appreciate your advice. I will check this soon, unfortunately, being in Michigan, it is freezing out today!

Remove the fuel suction tube from inside of the tank. There is a very fine screen filter inside of the tube. Remove the screen filter and pitch it.

I would blow out the vent line. disconnect vent line from the tank, and blow the debris out. there should be no backpressure.
