Starcraft Jet restoration

I recieved a boat from my cousin, he bought it for the ezloader trailer it was on and i have it on a way way too small trailer. I will upload pictures after but i have a few questions, 1 would you put a floor in it? 2 would trying to extend the trailer work? Or should i just either buy or make a new one and scrap this thing, i might use it for this summer as im a mile or less from the marina, and 3 it was set up with a pulley style steering wheel, would you keep it original or change it? Thanks so much in advanced!

Ok, so trailer has been figured out and I may have a 50 hp motor next week, I'm going to put a floor in it. First I need to wait for it to warm up so I can paint glove it on the rivets. Then pull out some small dents. The paint on the deck is peeling and cracked, any recommendations as to how I would take it down to bare metal? I plan to just sand the sides until smooth but still rough enough to take a coat of paint. Any hints or tips on doing this would bee appreciated!
