My Outboard Is A Chrysler 105hp 1976 Model1059he.i Bought The Boat Recently- Its A Glastron Model172t.the Boat Had No Keys.i Bought A Starter Switch With An Ignition ;start; And Accesory Terminals.i Pulled The Plugs (autolite 2852 ) And Sprayed Cylinder Lube In Them Reassembled And Cranked It Over And Sprayed Starting Fluid In Carbs And It Ran.i Didnt Have Fuel Line Hooked Up Because Im Worried About The Impeller Not Working. I Had Water Ears Around Intake While Cranking And For Breif Run But No Water Came Out Snout.ive Been Reading Previous Threads And Found A Good Desription Of Replacing Impeller But Id Like To Know If Its Going To Be Worth Throwing Money At.iwas Thinking Of Trying To Start It Up And Hope Impeller Works.is 24:1 Right Ratio?theres 2 Wires Left Over - Choke And Tach. Can The Choke Be Combined With The Start Terminal ? Is The Tach Neccesary?if It Runs Decent I Would Then Replace Impeller And Get The Right Starter Switch.

Re: Start Up Help

Check compression. If readings are good I would search "waking up a sleeping motor" and go for it.
