I inherited a 1996 merc 15 horse outboard . Took it to a marine mechanic, he got it running however stated that the particular model had problems with choke, throttle. Went to run a few days later and had a real tuff time starting about thirty pulls I tilted the motor completely out of the water then put it back down gave it a yank and the motor started . Ran up and down the lake fine for about 1/2 an hour. Two days later when to fire her up nothing . Changed plugs fuel line and fuel , My mechanic is going to look at it again said he had previously had carb off 3 times . He doesn't recommend spending to much money on this motor. Any help or advice would be appreciated
