I have a 1959 Johnson 50hp Super Seahorse. My starter died it was an Autolite MDO-4003M-12v. A guy has an Autolite MDW-4103M-12V for sale. Will this work??

Thanks!!

Daron
Mahomet, IL

Re: Starter Compatibility

I don't have a good answer to your question, but I feel for you ... having starter troubles myself. I can tell you that the 4103 was apparently used on 1960-63 75 hp models. I know that doesn't help you much, but maybe knowing what it is for will help to get you a yes or no from someone who knows.
Tom

Re: Starter Compatibility

if you are having starter issues and such i would find a local armature service that would or can rebuild it for you, ones used on marine engines aren't typically that much different from automobiles and can usually be rebuilt for under $100 from my experience
