Hi, I've looked everywhere for an answer. Hope you can help: I have a 2001 Chris Craft with a 5.7 liter V-8. It is a fuel-injected carburetor. It cranks but won't start. I have taken off the covers and see that nothing is coming out of the fuel injectors. Using a puff of hot-start, the motor fires, the injectors start spraying, and it runs great for hours. When I stop the motor, I have the same problem and need hot-start to start it up. Also, when first turning the key, I do see my gauges move and hear the fuel pump. I believe the injectors are supposed to spray for 2-seconds when turning the key--which they do not. Any suggestions?

Maybe ignition switch or wiring problem? Sounds like your losing batt power when you turn the key to start. Would be an easy check with a test light

Only the pumps start for two seconds to prime the system, the injectors start spraying when the engine is being turned over or running, When you try and start the Engine is there fuel coming out of the injectors,if not check your relay. Is yours fitted with ECU
