I have a 1984 Mercrusier 140 stuffed into a 1984 searay seville. Do I have to pull the engine to pull the starter? I don't seem to be able to find the bolts to loosen and pull it out.
no idea, the boat is in front of you, not in front of us. On many boats however you have to have monkey arms, remove manifolds, and yes pull engines to change starters.
Yes Chev starter bolts point straight down, great for cars, not so much for boats.... And as Jason says you may well have to pull engine to change it, although it's rare on 4cyls. 'nutcase
