Starting Fine and Then Not

Thanks in advance for the advice.

I just got a boat from my brother with a '97 fastsrike and it was starting just fine. Took it to the lake and it started yesterday. Got ready to put in today and it would not hit a like. I only hear a cliking sound form the motor. What should be on the check list for a start point in the process of elimination to narrow down the problem?

All else fell take it to a good shop, if there is such thing "TODAY".

I would start with the battery make sure it's fully charged, then make sure your cables are clean and getting a good connection
