Starting fluid for SportJet 90 Sea Rayder??

Should I use a special carb cleaner to aide in starting, or is carb cleaner Chemtol ok to use?

You need to use a fluid made for 2 stroke engines.
Or just put a small amount of premixed fuel in a small spray bottle.

determine what your starting problem is and through the starting fluid in the trash! It's a good way to destroy a powerhead...

If you have a starting issue with a sport jet engine , you need to find out why not try to go around it !!!!!!

Well, it started just fine when I flicked the butterflies open at the lake, but once I got down to the water, it wouldn't. Brought it home and sprayed small amount in air intake and it started right up, never let it run for more than 5 seconds. I assumed the carbs were a little gummed up, but maybe not. It did backfire as I shut it down right after the 2nd 5 second run.
