Recently the tilt on my 2006 200hp Evinrude stopped operating. After I started trhe motor, I tried the tilt switch a few times. After a while the alarm sounded intermittently, the alarm light flashed. After that, eventually, the ignition switch would no longer start the motor. It would start from the solenoid only. I informed my technician, and immediately said it was the20-amp fuse--the one located jus next to the power distribution panel. He came and by passed the fuse holder temporarily and tried several swaps with relays and finally tried another solenoid and another ignition switch. Still, the ignition swithch will not turn over the motor. One can start by jumping at the solenoid. He eventually got the tilt to operate provisionally by jumping directly from the connector located next to the panel to the hot source at the solenoid.
As matters stand, we still haven't solved the problems of starting and the tilt. Suggestions anyone?
