I’ve had a strange issue lately.... 2009 glastron gt 205. Seems to be having a hard time starting, but only when we put it in the water. If I start with muffs or flush port, no problem at all. Once crank. I’ve replaced fuel filter, plugs, wires, battery is all good and of course when I checked it - started beautiful. Less than 12 later went to put her in, sitting in the lake will only crank. No sure where to look next. For good or not we always check before we leave if there will be any startup issues and this pattern of trouble only in water has happened consistently the past 6-8 outing. Thanks!!

:welcome: to iBoats . . .

You are not the first person to post about an issue like this. Almost seems like some boats have aquaphobia :D

Does the boat have a kill switch near the throttle? That would be my first thing to check. Second would be to make sure the shifter is truly in neutral.

I’ll have to take a look exactly where the kill switch is again and investigate. Pretty sure I had it in neutral... I’m thinking it truly is aquaphobic!! Thanks!
