starting problem

have a 1997 120hp force exlpt,problem is hesitation before starter motor cranks or get nothing at all when key is turned.looking for some expert advice from a fellow american.thanks for your time an consideration,jeff

Check and clean all your battery cable connections at the battery and at the starter soleniod and engine ground.

CROSSJCG,<br /><br />I have a 120/92 Force, mine started doing the same thing yours did and I finally just went and got it tested, come to find out the brushing went south, had them replaced for 35 dollars, that lasted another year and it left me sitting, "yes sitting, parked on a beach thank god" moral of the story, spent 159.00 on a new starter, believe me that will be the best money you've ever spent if you have to pandle.
