starting problems

thanx 2 all u guys who have helped me in the past and i really appreicate all the help. my prob is the motor will run with spraying gas in the throat of the carb. and it will start will the pull start it has.but when i go to start it with the guy it will not turn over. its getting spark orit wouldnt pull crank and it started when i use the key and spray gas in the throat. i replaces the fuel hoses ,filter, gas, sparkplugs, wires, what else could be my prob. ...oh yeah the boat is a 86 procraft with a 115 evinrude v4.thanx alot .....texas fisherman

Might be that the battery is getting old or has dirty connections causing it to not spin fast enough to "catch"<br /><br />By your description it sounds as if it might be the choking method is somewhat incorrect. Is there a button for the choke? Or do you depress the key while turning?
