Stator readings?

I have a 92 60hp merc. Doing an ohm test on two different stators I have 90 ohms between red lead and ground on both. Everything I read says I should have a reading between red lead and blue. I have no reading on either stator. A man at the local marina says that They are good and that I should only have a reading between red and grnd not between red and blue. Is he correct?

​Are you using a digital or analog meter.
Analog is what's needed to do the reading right.

Thanks Jerry.Yes I have a analog meter.That page doesn't answer my problem .I don't have blue and red white stripped wires just blue, red and two yellows.I have two stators, my old one and a used one I bought off ebay. Both read 90 ohms red to grnd, 0 ohms blue to grnd and 0 ohms red to blue

Check with cdielectronics.com. They have online manual and will show specs and how to test your stator.
