I have a Mercury 125, not sure what year it is, think it may be a 2000 model(OG283760) need to know how do I test it to see if it is putting out what it is suppose to put out, there is a red w/white stripe, blue w/white stripe, red and blue, and two yellows. Which ones do I test?

Re: stator testing

To check voltages you need a volt meter with DVA. You can check the resistances of the stator windings with a multimeter.
Blue to Blue/White = 5800 - 7000 Ohms
Red to Red/White = 75 - 90 Ohms
The yellow wire are for charging your battery.
If your battery is charging this part of your stator is fine.
If you have a DVA the voltages are 108V+ for blue and Blue/white and 20V+ for Red and Red/White.
