stator?

Was wondering if a bad stator on my 1995 eninrude 88 SPL would cause the rectifier/regulator to go bad?

Order a manual here at iboats, they have tests to confirm whether those are working or not.

The manual is @$50 a stator is $400+ and a rectifier is probably $60 so you will save yourself money if you find out exactly what is wrong with it.

I have a manual and according to test i did my stator is bad,i was wanting to know if a bad stator would cause rectifier to go bad?cause i put new rectifier on and it doesn't work.so if stator is bad would it fry a new rectifier when installed?
