Stator

I have a 1994 merc 200 HP xri that started up fine when got to lake but when was going thru the no wake zone it died and would not start back up. It would turn over but no fire to run. Would this be a stator problem or my power Packs need to be replaced. This same thing happened bout a month ago took into shop and they said could not find anything wrong. Started up fine for them 3 days in row. Only thing they done was replaced plugs. Trying to narrow down what it could be

well it could be stator, switch boxes or wiring between. First pull both black/yellow wires at the switchboxes to rule out bad ign switch. If still no spark, go on CDIElectronics web page and find troubleshooting procedure for your ADI ignition.

Was gonna replace boxes first to see if this fixing problem then go from there

When Marine shop had it. He said he tested everything and could not find anything wrong. Just couple plugs. So replaced all plugs. Said let it run for 30 min one day so kind of mind boggling. For it to fowhat it is doing.
