remove the outdrive
remove plastic dust shield off rear trucourse drum
steer until you see the head of a screw come around
remove screw from drum
slide trucourse shaft out the rear -keep track of wave washer and nylon washer and spacer that will fall out when you slide the shaft out the back
unbolt steer cable bracket and remove steer cable
That procedure worked great, what i thought was a boundup steering cable is the steering gear shaft is lacking much grease and attention, no zirk fitting on it to grease.
