steering adjustment 86 evinrude

just replaced steering cable but my motor will not turn far enough to the right.I don't know much about boats but there is a bracket on the motor that hooks to the steering linkage.the bracket looks adjusabale.any help on how to adjust this anyone?

hey.its a 50 hp.86 model.its the first bracket connected to the motor. its painted the same color as the motor.its between the transom and the motor where the motor overhangs the transom.siting in the boat looking at the motor the bracket is offset from center but looks like is adjustable.thanks.I am going to try to figure it out now that I have daylight.I will keep posted.

OK moe....that's the steering tube. There should only be a couple of threads from the port side (left) nut that the tube is held in place with. Hope this is what yer' talkin' about...
