There's really only 1 Fix for a Worn Out Steering Cable...................

Replace It...........

With the pricing structure nowadays,.......
A Complete Helm,+ Cable is reasonably Inexpensive....................

Bondo is right- steering cables are not worth "repairing"- replace them. When a cable breaks and the engine goes wild, you don't want to be there. Can you say U-Turn?

You can get an entire Teleflex system for that boat for $150 or so. That's cheap insurance against a lethal failure.

UFM82

Spend the extra $50 and get a No Feedback system- that's the way to go.

Ayuh,........Good Point,....... If it was only that Simple........

The Big Problem is that it's Never just a U-turn,..........
The boat will constantly Circle,.........
After You've been Thrown Overboard,..... The boat just Keeps coming Back After You..............

That's the 1 day in your life that you Hope it's almost Out of Gas..................... ;)

Thanks for input. Replaced everything with a kit in 10 degree weather. Problem fixed.
