I'm looking for a steering cable for a 1979 Silerliner 17' pleasure boat outboard. If anyone know where or who might have information on obtaining one. I would appreciate it. Thanks JimA
The cable has to be matched to the type/brand of steering system you have. Since it will cost approx $120 for a cable, and only $150 for a complete new steering unit, I would upgrade to the new NO-Feedback Rack design steering system.<br /><br /> No-Feedback steering units <br /><br /> other steering units and cables <br /><br />Make sure you measure your boat and order the correct length steering system.
