Steering cables...

Well, if you read my posts last summer, you heard my woes... Anyway, I'm glad to report that everything seems to be good this year so far.

A problem that was apparent last year was the steering, it always felt loose.

As for replacing the steering cables, whats involved? Are the cables boat specific or are they universal?

Moving to Boat topics and questions (not engine topics)

It's steering specific. Depends on what the manufacturer use. Could be rack and pinion or cable.
Look under the helm and see what it looks like (or better yet, a picture)
