i'm talking about the center of the steering wheel on my boat. it has a round, 2 1/8" opening, and looking inside you can see the bolts holding it to the "steering column". i'd like to find a replacement "cap" for this. would love to find an original if it had the grady logo or something on it, but a plain s.s. one would do. can't seem to find anything on the web, probably because i don't know what to call it. thanks-

thanks. at least i now know the piece is called the hub cap. google finds various varieties, but looks like it will take time to find something that will work for my wheel.

The cap on my wheel came loose from broken tabs. I determined it was an Attwood helm and emailed their customer service asking about purchasing a replacement as it was 10 years old. They sent me a free one.
