steering in capri

I have a 85 capri with 85hp and the steering seems to be hard when you turn one way but past that point easy as can be is this typical or is something wrong. thanking you guys now for any information.

Something could be binding up. Check your steering system carefully. OR are you stating that the boat wants to turn on it's own and you feel as if you are fighting it past that point? If so adjust the tab above the prop slightly and this will counteract the steering torque.<br /><br />Bob
