Steering Link?

Can anyone tell me if this steering link http://www.iboats.com/mall/index.cg...4&cart_id=036841867&current_category=steering Will work on a Tohatsu M40D? I am converting a motor from tiller to remote/console steering and such. I have the cables and ends already hooked up but the cost of a link through the dealer was outrageous. i have a nissan 40 remote steerin'..which is a tohatsu ..only different color..<br /><br />i had to buy a teleflex steerin' system an generic parts to use.. it all worked... even had to homemake the motor hook up plate/tongue .. that the steerin' hooks to the motor..<br /><br />i'd say yes,, it'll work... it for a mid sized motor...

Crabby I was thinking the same thing but I am lucky there is a mounting hole/point on mine already. It seems the factory made one motor to do it all as all I had to do for the throtle and such was get the cable ends and a bracket with bolts to hold the cables as the mounts where there for everything. Unless someone else comes up with a better/actually knows answer I am ordering the link tommorow.

PETER.. i hate to say this an take money outta IBOATS pocket.. but stuff like that.. it'll b best to go to a marine center that carries teleflex stuff .. so you can see it first hand..in your hand.. <br /><br />sorry IBOATS,, but just had to say that.. <br /><br />but then again , PETER... i know that part will work... it will...
