hey guys, I have a 1965 evinrude super sea horse. Cover says 40 hp but engine says 33hp. Not sure what it really is. I was told that around that time the 33-40 was the same except for the carb jets. I am trying to install a steering system that i got with the motor. it is a single cable system with a steel rod at the end with internal rod that moves in and out when the wheel is turned. I am trying to install this in a way where i can tilt the motor up and lock it there without binding up anything with the steering. my boat is a 16 foot polarcraft dakota. I could have got a tiller handle but thought the steering and remote throttle system sounded more convenient but i am have major difficulties. Im a college student and money is tight so the cheapest solution will be the best, otherwise ill just try and find a tiller handle. if any pictures are available of such a setup please include. thanks, Jerry
